How to get your site indexed quickly

Jun 28th, 2009 | By Robby | Category: Featured articles, Web Design

Recently I have noticed a lot of people asking in forums, how they can get there sites indexed faster. I have also seen people charging anywhere from $10-$20 to do it for people. Well, it’s not hard to do at all. All you have to do is a little bookmarking.

After you have finished creating your web site, go to your Google webmaster tools dashboard. Verify your site and submit your XML sitemap. Go to Reddit, Stumbleupon, Technorati, Digg and Furl. Submit your link to all of them at the same time, or as fast as you can. Maybe use 2 browsers… Submitting to all these high page rank sites close to the same time you’re more than likely to catch a spider on one of the sites. These sites are crawled regularly so links are found quickly.

If you use high page ranked forums like Digital Point or V7N, add your link to your signature there and do a few post. Better if you start the threads. These sites are also crawled often.

Give it about an hour or two and go to Google.com. Do a search for your domain name (yoursite.com). You will soon see search results that will show your sites link on pages from the bookmarking sites you submitted your links too. This may take a couple hours to 24 hours. If you go to the pages in the search results the links probably will not still be there due to the content constantly changing on those sites.

Your page may not show up on your Google webmaster dashboard for a few days to a week but if you do the search at Google for your domain name you will see it there sooner. Sometimes it may be a few pages back still.
